Web Developer /Information Technology Specialist – #00082 Open until filled

Hiring Range: $41,778 – $91,896 (commensurate w/qualifications & experience)

Responsibilities: Join the creative College Relations team in an exciting, fast-paced, educational environment! Manage and maintain dynamic, attractive, and interactive web sites. Program, plan, develop and maintain dynamic, attractive, interactive, state-of-the-art intranet and web site. Provide technical leadership and guidance. Create new programs and features for the College's web, intranet and mobile apps. Ensure both sites are secure, functional, and accessible by all browsers and platforms. Plan for long-term evolution of sites and train users. Integrate new technologies and collaborate departmentally as needed. Perform emergency updates remotely as needed. Monitor and report performance. Position is located at the Midlothian Campus.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technologies, or related field preferred. Proficiency in CSS, open-source CMS (prefer Expression Engine), HTML, PHP, mySQL, and hand-coding required. Experience in JavaScript and user interface design required. Understanding of web development with emphasis on CSS, responsive design, usability, application development, content management systems and custom development. Strong project management, written communication, script writing, technical, evaluative, and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to learn new technologies, study trends, and conduct research. Ability to work independently. Must be highly organized, extremely detail-driven, and able to work in teams. Proven work experience developing and maintaining interactive web sites. High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of criminal background check will be required.
