Responsibilities: To teach beginning and intermediate Spanish language courses in face-to-face and online formats. Full-time responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester. Teaching assignments may be at either campus and may include a mixture of day, night, and online classes. Selected incumbent will participate in course and program development and assessment, advise students, and actively serve on division and college committees.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Spanish from an accredited college or university; or equivalent with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Spanish. Experience teaching college-level Spanish courses is required. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and demonstrated communication skills required. The successful candidate must be willing to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, and online classes with the ability to be flexible to work at any of the College’s locations. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required. Preferred Qualifications: Related education beyond Master’s; credential to teach an additional language; postsecondary teaching experience, especially in two-year colleges; and experience with online teaching formats and instructional technology. Strong organizational habits and skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
