Registration for Fall Semester Classes at John Tyler Community College Begins July 7

CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – Anthropology, chemistry, creative writing, algebra, thermodynamics for engineers, religions of the world, first aid, photojournalism, Spanish, and welding – this is just a small sampling of the hundreds of classes John Tyler Community College has packed into its fall semester schedule. So, whether students want to become more competitive in the workforce, start a new career, save money while beginning their work on a bachelor’s degree, or explore long-held interests, John Tyler has the courses and programs to meet their needs. Plus, Tyler’s classes are offered at a variety of times and in a variety of formats to help students balance college with family and work responsibilities. For the fall semester, the schedule includes day, evening, weekend, online and hybrid (partially online and partially in the classroom) courses offered in 16-week, 12-week, and 8-week session lengths. Registration for Tyler’s fall semester classes begins July 7, 2014. Students new to Tyler must submit an application for admission before signing up for classes. The application is available online by clicking the “Apply Now” button at www.jtcc.edu, or it may be picked up at the Admissions and Records Office at the Chester or Midlothian campuses. There is no fee to apply. Additional information for new students may be found by clicking “Getting Started at Tyler” on the college’s web site.
Once enrolled at Tyler, new and returning students may register for classes online using the Student Information System found at www.jtcc.edu/myTyler, or they may register in person at either the Chester Campus or the Midlothian Campus.

Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Midlothian Campus (800 Charter Colony Parkway)
Monday – Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

John Tyler Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education and is the fifth largest of the 23 community colleges in Virginia.
