- Revive Challenge
- The Revive Challenge has been opened up to employers, civic and church groups, and other members of the community who wish to participate. From the website:
[Revive Challenge] teams will design and create a project from items that are at least 75 percent recycled, restored, or repurposed. Finished projects will be a part of a silent auction on April 18, 2009 when John Tyler and Chesterfield County partner to combine Fool for Art with Chesterfield County’s Environmental Fair. All funds raised at the auction will go to support student scholarships.
Many members of the Art Club have expressed interest in participating in the Revive Challenge. Contact cferguson@jtcc.edu if you would like to join in.
- New York
- Remember that Friday is the last day to sign up to attend the trip to New York. Active club members (those who have participated in at least four fundraising activities) save $50 off of the $180 price for other JTCC students. Mr. Ferguson will be on campus Friday to accept new enrollees; email him at cferguson@jtcc.edu to confirm a time he is available.
Also, the hotel we will stay at in New York has reduced the rates for rooms. The club still has not yet decided what to do with the surplus monies. - Portfolio Shoot
- Last week’s portfolio shoots went well, and we will schedule more later in the semester.
- Fool For Art
- Does the club wish to do something during Fool For Art, April 18th? Many ideas floated for the Revive Challenge would also work well as activities at Fool For Art.
- Terry Smith Art Show
- JTCC artist Terry Smith needs help to hang her show at Art Works next Monday (Feb. 27). Contact her at terry@eyesofthesoulart.net.
