(1) FULL MOON MADNESS
We need volunteers to help us with the Art Club activities at Full Moon Madness (face painting, mask making and “Monster Mug Shots”) – yes it counts towards your New York discount, and yes you can come in costume. If you can help us out on Saturday, 23 October anytime from 3:30 PM until 9:30 PM, please let us know.
Also if you know of someone who might want to help out at Full Moon Madness, let them know about the registration web site for the event. The college needs many volunteers to help with the event, and all help will be appreciated.
Finally, Theatre Club needs volunteers to help them set up on Friday, 22 October. Contact Kerrigan Sullivan if you can

(2) PIZZA SALES
Next Tuesday we have opportunities to help you earn your discount for New York at 11 AM – 11:30 AM and at 11:30 AM – 12 PM.
(3) VMFA COLLEGE NIGHT
All the Slide Slam entries are in! Come see what your fellow Art Clubbers submitted and enjoy the party next Wednesday, 20 October.
Don’t forget to grab a student ID from the counseling office! It’s both free and quick to get and can net you savings at the VFMA and other places.

(2) FIRST FRIDAY
Join us THIS Friday (1 Oct) as 7pm as we start our tour of the First Friday Art Walk in Richmond at Art 6 (6 E. Broad St). Contact Khiem Tran if you might be interested in carpooling from the Midlothian campus.
(3) SLIDE SLAM
Show your work at the VMFA! Send in your entries for the College Night Slide Slam as high quality JPGs (at least 1024 × 800 pixels) to Mr Ferguson by 11 October. Then, come to the VMFA College Night on the 20th (a Wednesday) and see your work projected alongside other students’ from area colleges and universities.
(4) VMFA TOUR
If you can’t wait until College Night to sate your appetite for all things VMFA, then email <ACarpenter@jtcc.edu> to reserve your ticket for a free tour arranged for John Tyler students. The tour is on Founder’s Day, 5 Oct, from 1 – 5pm.
(4.5) BEFORE THE TOUR
Stop by A215 (the art studio) anytime between 8:30am – 12:30pm on the 5th to help Khiem and the gang prepare for our Full Moon Madness activities! Painting, power tooling, bandaging: there’s something fun for everyone. Afterwards, several of us are carpooling to the VMFA.

We are still looking for a vice president and secretary. See your name in lights associated with the best, most successful and most attractive independent club at John Tyler.
(2) FIRST FRIDAY
Join us First Friday, October 1st at 7 PM at Art 6 (6 E. Broad St., Richmond VA) as we stroll Richmond’s gallery district to look at art and have fun.
(3) VMFA COLLEGE NIGHT
Slide Slam is a chance to show your work at the VMFA before a large audience during College Night. We have the option to submit five works for Slide Slam from our college by October 11th. Please contact Mr Ferguson for more information on submission criteria.
Correction: VMFA College Night is on WEDNESSDAY, OCTOBER 20 at 7 PM. The date reported at the meeting earlier today was incorrect. Art Club regrets the error.
(4) FULL MOON MADNESS
Art Club has several activities planned for Full Moon Madness on Saturday, October 23 including face painting, mask making, a coloring activity and photography cutouts (you know, the kind of thing that you stick your head though to take trick photos).
We need volunteers before the 23rd to help construct the cutouts, and on the night of the 23rd we need volunteers to help provide activities. Contact Mr Silvent if you can help!
(5) PIZZA SALES
Next Tuesday (Sep 28), we have open slots for the middle (11:30 – 12:00) and late (12:00 – 12:30) shifts. Please let Mr Ferguson know if you can work these shifts. Volunteering for Art Club fundraisers is one way to earn active-member status which nets you discounts on Art Club activities.
