A Community Festival - Free and open to the community
In 2008, Fool for Art took on a green spin, and in 2009, we partnered with Chesterfield County to amp up the green content at this free, fun, hands-on, educational event. The result? A foolishly fun day where guests bid on inspired green designs created for the Revive Community Challenge; participated in more than 120 free educational sessions and hands-on activities; and shopped the wares of more than 90 original art and craft vendors. Plus, we celebrated Earth Day with the Department of Environmental Quality, the American Chemical Society and plenty of get-your-hands-dirty green activities. There was music performed by Chesterfield County Public School students and free document shredding/shuttle service provided at Midlothian High School.
Thanks to all who joined us! From the Art of Learning Tent and free class sessions to the Celebrate the Earth Tent and fabulous art and craft vendors, there was something for everyone! Fool for Art is always free and open to the public.
