Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Office at John Tyler Community College is committed to helping students afford their college education. There are four main types of financial aid available to students who need help paying for college:

  • Grants: Need-based financial aid that does not have to be repaid.
  • Loans: Financial aid that must be repaid.
  • Work-Study Employment: Need-based employment opportunities at the College.
  • Scholarships: Awards, usually based on merit, that do not need to be repaid.
