About the Library

The Library at John Tyler Community College, with locations on both the Chester and Midlothian campuses, has a combined book collection of approximately 51,000 volumes. Access all books and media through the library catalog. The Library receives 150 magazines, journals, and newspapers and provides access to more than 10,000 periodicals through its online databases.

With so many resources, finding, evaluating and organizing information can be a daunting task. Staff at John Tyler Community College Library are available to help students and offer personalized assistance with research projects and computer software. Library locations, phone numbers and hours are listed below.

Students may also get reference help online through Ask a Librarian, a virtual reference service.

Important! Pay-to-Print Notice - On January 4, 2010, the College will implement a low-cost, pay-to-print program, in order to meet increasing demand for printing services at the College. The system will initially include the computers and copy machines in the Chester and Midlothian Libraries, as well as the CLC Lab on the Chester Campus. Learn more about costs and procedures.
