Career Studies Certificate (C.S.C.)

Purpose

The program prepares students for positions as phlebotomists in hospitals, physician offices and commercial laboratories where blood and other laboratory specimens are collected from patients for analysis.  The curriculum includes classroom lecture, laboratory practice and clinical practice.

Admission Requirements and Special Conditions

A high school diploma (or equivalent) and satisfactory scores on college placement tests (or equivalent) in English and mathematics are required.  If students have deficiencies in English or mathematics, JTCC offers remedial courses to prepare students for the curriculum.
