I Want to Join! Now What?

To Become a Member:

  1. Meet the membership qualifications listed in the FAQ.
  2. Browse the website and/or PTK Orientation Booklet to familiarize yourself with our Phi Theta Kappa goals, benefits, opportunities, & other organizational information
  3. Complete a Membership Application by the stated deadline either online or on paper
    1. Print off the PTK Application. Please type or print clearly.
    2. Apply online at www.ptk.org/acceptmembership. You must have your passcode provided to you at orientation. If you need a new passcode, please email one of the chapter advisors.
  4. All applications (online or paper) must include the one-time membership dues of $70
    1. Dues can be paid by major credit/debit cards through the online application
    2. A check or money order made payable to “John Tyler Community College” must accompany paper application packets
  5. Paper applications can be mailed to/turned in at:

  6. Participate in the induction ceremony
