The Instructional Technology Office works with faculty members to create web-based learning environments that either deliver courses entirely online or supplement traditional on-campus classes with online content.
The most common tool the department uses is Blackboard. Blackboard allows instructors to put their syllabi, lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, assignments and other course documents online for students to access at anytime. The program also includes interactive features, such as discussion boards and typed, audio and video chats.
