Hiring Range: $33,598-$50,000 (commensurate w/qualifications & experience)

Responsibilities: The College seeks to hire a Retention Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and assessing a comprehensive retention action plan for the College. This position will support all aspects of student retention, leading initiatives to improve retention through promoting campus wide buy-in and participation, implementing targeted interventions with students, and engaging faculty and staff to support students in effective retention activities. Collect accurate data to assess retention programming and communicate retention data with the college community. The position also includes managing the processes and responses to Early Alerts. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Advising.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Several years of prior relevant work experience strongly preferred (student advising, program planning and assessment, retention coaching). Experience in teaching, presenting workshops, and/or advising in an academic setting highly desirable. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, demonstrate initiative and be student success focused. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Collaboratively develop and implement innovative strategies and programs. Experience with technology required. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check will be required. High School diploma required.
PREFERRED: Master’s degree preferred. Experience in higher education a plus.
