Liminal Space Exhibit Opens

Posted on January 31, 2019

By Holly Walker

You are invited to go on a journey with artist and Tyler alumna Joanna Pottle as she shares her personal exploration of the space between one season of her life and another in her exhibit, Liminal Space. In this “in between” space, Pottle considers her artistic work, process, research and development and introduces new work. Pottle graduated from John Tyler Community Colleges in 2016 with an Associate of Applied Arts in Visual Arts. She will graduate from James Madison University this year with degrees in student art and art history.

Liminal Space opens at the Tyler Gallery (Midlothian Campus, Eliades Hall, room E107) Friday, February 1 with a reception from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. that includes a brief artist talk and light refreshments.

The exhibit, which is open to the community, will remain on display through March 15.

The Tyler Gallery’s hours are:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays and Fridays:  12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
