CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – John Tyler Community College is helping job seekers and career switchers connect with area employment opportunities by holding three career fairs in April. Each of the three events will focus on specific fields: business, accounting and information technology; all areas of the skilled trades; and jobs tied to social sciences. All career fairs are open to the college’s students and alumni, as well as to the community.

Business, Accounting, and IT Career Fair

April 9, 2019
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Chester Campus (13101 Jefferson Davis Hwy.)
Moyar Hall, 1st floor
Approximately 30 employers are expected to be on site.

Skilled Trades Career Fair

April 15, 2019
4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Chester Campus (13101 Jefferson Davis Hwy.)
Moyar Hall, 1st floor
Approximately 30 employers are expected to be on site.

Social Sciences Career Fair

April 18, 2019
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Midlothian Campus (800 Charter Colony Pkwy.)
Hamel Hall, 1st floor foyer and student lounge
Approximately 18 employers are expected to be on site. 
* The Social Sciences Career Fair is being held in conjunction with college’s Social Sciences Research Expo, which features presentations on research conducted by Tyler students. All career fair attendees are invited to attend the research expo.

John Tyler Community College offers more than 60 majors that provide pathways to careers in high-demand fields; transfer opportunities to four-year colleges and universities; and industry credentials and licensures. The college, with campuses in Chester and Midlothian, a Nursing Education Center, online classes, and off-campus classrooms, served more than 14,300 students during the 2017-18 academic year. It also assisted more than 7,000 learners through its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance, a partnership between Tyler and Reynolds community colleges.
