On November 11, John Tyler Community College will honor those who have served in the armed forces during the college’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the Chester Campus in the Nicholas Center, room N102. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will include a keynote address by Martina M. Murray, director of education programs for the Virginia Department of Veterans Services; recognition of faculty, staff and student veterans, as well as all veterans in attendance; and a memorial tree planting. This year’s tree is being provided by the John Tyler Community College Rotaract Club and Carl Duffy from the Rotary Club of James River.
Tyler’s Veterans Day Ceremony is open to all students, faculty and staff, as well as the community. If you have questions about the ceremony, contact Lisa Kendrick, office and events specialist, at email@example.com or 804-594-1527.
