John Tyler Community College to Hold Part-time Job & Internship Fairs

CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – Members of the community seeking part-time work or opportunities to intern with local employers are invited to stop by John Tyler Community College’s Part-time Job & Internship Fairs. At each event, representatives from local businesses will be on hand to discuss job opportunities, as well as provide information about internships that can help people gain new skills and explore career fields. The Part-time Job & Internship Fairs will be held:

January 28
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Midlothian Campus (800 Charter Colony Parkway)
T Building, 1st floor

January 30
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Chester Campus (13101 Jefferson Davis Highway)
Nicholas Center, room N102

A list of registered employers will be posted at by January 23.

The fairs are free and open to the public, and job and internship seekers do not need to register to attend. 

Employers interested in participating in one or both fairs may contact Ashley Pinney, Tyler’s career and internship coordinator, at or 804-706-5166 to sign up for booth space. Pinney may also be contacted with any other questions about the event.

John Tyler Community College offers more than 75 majors that provide pathways to careers in high-demand fields; transfer opportunities to four-year colleges and universities; and industry credentials and licensures. The college, with campuses in Chester and Midlothian, online classes, and off-campus classrooms, served more than 14,000 students during the 2018-19 academic year. It also assisted more than 7,000 learners through its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance, a partnership between Tyler and Reynolds community colleges.
