Tyler Alert is a notification system that allows the college to send messages about severe weather, emergencies, closings, delays and other urgent situations. Tyler Alert is a voluntary system, so if you want to receive these important messages, you must sign up to receive them.

Getting started is easy. Go to, and follow the directions to create an account. Once your account is set up, you can choose how you want to be notified – text, e-mail or both. You may also set up your account so notifications are sent to multiple devices and e-mail addresses.

If you’ve already registered for Tyler Alert notifications, we encourage you to check your account periodically to make sure your numbers and e-mail information are up-to-date.

There’s no fee to be part of the system, however, your cell phone company may charge fees for having messages sent to your wireless device.
