Extended Hours: Weeks of August 14 and August 21 - To help students prepare for the start of the fall semester, JTCC’s Admissions and Records Office, Advising Center, Business Office, and Financial Aid Office at both campuses will have extended hours the weeks of August 14 and August 21. During those weeks, the offices will be open 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and will be open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday. More.

CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – The community is invited to visit John Tyler Community College’s campuses during Open House events on July 31, 2017 and August 1, 2017. During these events, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Tyler’s programs and services; get tips on how to pay for college; tour campus; and discuss educational options that align with their personal goals. Those ready to attend Tyler will also receive assistance with their application, class registration and the financial aid process.

Tyler’s Open House events are free and open to all who would like to learn about their educational options, including:

  • Programs that lead to careers, industry-recognized certifications, and networking opportunities with area employers.
  • Majors that save students money while putting them on a path to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Classes that incorporate hands-on learning using cutting-edge simulators and high-tech labs.
  • Certificate programs that can be completed in less than one year.
  • Guaranteed transfer agreements with more than 35 four-year colleges and universities that allow associate degree graduates to seamlessly continue their educations.
  • Flexible class schedules that include on-campus, online, hybrid (partially online and partially on-campus), day and evening options.

The July 31 Open House will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Chester Campus, located at 13101 Jefferson Davis Highway. Attendees are asked to meet in the Nicholas Center, room N102a. General Information Sessions will start at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Financial Aid Sessions will be held at 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The August 1 Open House will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Midlothian Campus, located at 800 Charter Colony Parkway. Attendees are asked to meet in Eliades Hall, room E113. General Information Sessions will start at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Financial Aid Sessions will be held at 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Each session will last approximately 30 minutes and will include time for questions. After each session, guided tours of campus will be held and personalized assistance will be available for those interested in applying to Tyler and registering for Fall 2017 semester classes.
