Exploring “Hidden Figures” and Careers in STEM
Posted on August 31, 2017
More and more employers need people who are educated and trained in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. On Friday, September 8, Tyler students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in a lecture on this topic. Dr. Charlene D. Crawley, assistant professor of chemistry at VCU, will join us to discuss, “The Path Forward: Pursing Your Dreams in STEM.” Following Dr. Crawley’s lecture, there will be a showing of the film Hidden Figures.
The Hidden Figures lecture and film will be held in the Nicholas Center at Tyler’s Chester Campus, starting at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to all JTCC students, faculty and staff. Due to space considerations, there is a limit of two guests per person.
