Get Help with the FAFSA

Posted on January 23, 2018

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA, is the first step for students who want to apply for financial aid to help them pay for college. Having a FAFSA on file, even if you do not intend to use financial aid or qualify for financial aid, is also important if you are thinking about applying for a JTCC Foundation scholarship.

In early February, Tyler will hold two FAFSA Completion Night events, designed to help you navigate the financial aid process. During these events, financial aid experts will be on hand to provide one-on-one assistance with completing the FAFSA. Staff will also be available to answer your questions about scholarships, grants, work study opportunities and more.

Tyler’s FAFSA Completion Night events will take place:

Tuesday February 6
Chester Campus
Moyar Hall, 2nd Floor, Library Computer Lab
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, February 8
Midlothian Campus
Hamel Hall, 2nd Floor, Library Computer Lab
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Registration for the FAFSA Completion Night events is not mandatory but is recommended. To sign up, visit our Open House page.
