Commencement Celebration

Posted on May 08, 2018

After lots of hard work, studying, and dedication, members of John Tyler Community College’s Class of 2018 are celebrating their graduation!

On Friday, May 11, family, friends and members of the college community will come together to cheer on the graduates during Tyler’s annual Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony will get underway at 4:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Building at Virginia State University. Four members of the graduating class – Julia Bailey, Janay Cameron, Warren Reid, and Lauren Sanford – will be this year’s speakers. The community is invited to cheer on the graduates by attending the ceremony or by posting messages of congratulations on Tyler’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn pages, using the hashtag #tylergrads.  The ceremony will be livestreamed for those who cannot join the festivities in person.

For a complete list of 2017-1018 graduates, visit the news release section of the college’s web site.
