Chester Campus Changes

Work is underway at the Chester Campus on an exciting construction project involving the renovation of Bird Hall and the expansion and renovation of the Nicholas Center. This work will continue for about a year.
Building Updates
Bird Hall
Bird Hall is closed, and only authorized contractors and employees are allowed in the building.
Nicholas Center
With the exception of the Bookstore, the Nicholas Center is now closed. Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are allowed to enter the Nicholas through the main front entrance to access JTCC’s Chester Bookstore, but all other areas of the building are closed. Later this semester, the Bookstore will be moved out of Nicholas and temporarily relocated. Once dates are confirmed, information about that move will be posted on this web site and on Tyler’s social media sites.
Construction fencing is in place around Bird Hall and most of the Nicholas Center. For your safety, please heed these barriers and the signs posted in and around the construction areas.
Office Updates
Due to the closures of Bird Hall and the Nicholas Center, a number of offices have moved. Here are the new locations:
Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) – Office Trailer, TR10
Community College Workforce Alliance CDL Truck Driving Program – Moyar Hall, M219
Dean of Students – Moyar Hall, M109
Disability Testing – Moyar Hall, M112, M112a and M112b
Financial Aid – Moyar Hall, M101
Student Activities – Moyar Hall, M110
Student Information Center - Moyar Hall, M107e
Vending Machines and Microwave – Moyar Hall, hallway near M121
Welcome Desk - Moyar Hall, 1st floor between M101 and M107
Please note: Due to the Nicholas Center construction work, the gym at Nicholas will be closed until the renovations are complete.
Study and Lounge Areas
Although the Student Lounge in the Nicholas Center is closed, there are still places you can go to study and relax. There are tables, chairs, computers stations, and study rooms in the Library (Moyar Hall, 2nd floor). There are also sitting areas in sections of Moyar Hall. Vending machines and the microwave are located on the first floor of Moyar Hall near M121.
