Declare a Major
There are three ways to declare a major at Tyler:
Select a major on your application.
New students can declare a major when they apply to Tyler. Simply select your chosen major on your application.
If you are not sure what you want to study, did not select a major when you applied, or need to make a change to your major, you have two more options:
Meet with an advisor in the Advising Center.
Advisors can help you select a major based on your goals. If you are transferring from another college or university, have a copy of your transcript with you when you meet with Advising Center staff.
Declare a major online.
Can’t make it to campus to meet with Advising? Complete the form at www.jtcc.edu/declareonline, and our advisors will work with you to declare your major without coming to campus.
