Time: 10:30 AM - 1:00 PMContinental Pools will be at the table in front of the Midlothian library looking to hire lifeguards and pool managers for the summer. No experience is necessary; you just need to know how to swim. They do guard certifications so you do not need to take classes anywhere else. They have 34 pools throughout Richmond, Petersburg, Chesterfield, Henrico, Midlotian, and Mechanicsville, in neighborhoods and apartment complexes. History Forum: The Age of Empires and Pan-Africanism

Time: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PMThe JTCC History Forum presents, “The Age of Empires and Pan-Africanism: How the Ethiopian Empire became the Symbol of Hope for African-Americans and the Diaspora,” a lecture by Antonio Williams, Instructor of History.
This lecture will examine how the Ethiopian Empire became a symbol of unity and hope for African Americans during the early 20th century. Williams will discuss his research on the origins of Ethiopian African American relations, the Battle of Adwa, Mussolini’s invasion of Ethiopia during WWII, and the African American response to that invasion.
Event is on both campuses: Moyar 213 (Chester) and Eliades 102 (Midlothian)/
Light refreshments will be served.
