  • Engineering Transfer Night

    Those interested in exploring education options for these career fields are invited to John Tyler Community College on October 9, 2019, for Engineering Transfer Night. During the event, attendees will have the opportunities to explore Tyler’s programs and find out how starting in those programs can save them money on a bachelor’s degree. They will also learn about guaranteed admissions agreements, which help Tyler graduates seamlessly transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete their bachelor’s degree. Plus, they will get to meet some of Tyler’s four-year college and university partners including Christopher Newport University, George Mason University, James Madison University, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, and Virginia Tech.

    All activities will take place in the Lynn Theatre inside the T Building at Tyler’s Midlothian Campus.

  • Liar, Liar Pants on Fire! Evaluating Sources in the Age of Misinformation

    Unsure what sources to rely on for credible information?  Join the Tyler Libraries to learn how to identify and avoid sources of both misinformation and disinformation and different evaluation methods to use when performing research. The workshop will be held at the Midlothian campus library at 2pm.
