  • Personal Finance Workshop: Managing Debt
    12:30pm - 1:30pm

    Location: Midlothian Library

    Virginia Asset Management will host a free workshop on managing personal debt in the Midlothian Library Computer Lab. Debt can be scary but there are resources to help you get out of it!

    Students, faculty and staff are invited to watch Lions vs. Packers from 7:30pm-10pm in the Student Lounges on our big screen TV's. Participate in NFL Bingo to have a chance to win cool JTCC SWAG. Refreshments will be available.

    Stop by the Gideon Information table to receive a free bible. The Gideon Bible table will setup on the Chester campus near the snack machine and Midlothian campus on the 2nd floor of Hamel Hall in front of the library.

    Between classes pick-up a soccer ball, football, frisbees or play corn-hole, Jenga, Connect 4, skiball and disc golf with your classmates on the lawn. Equipment will be located on the Quad area at the Midlothian campus & between Moyar and Godwin at the Chester campus from 11am-2pm. 

  • Liar, Liar Pants on Fire! Evaluating Sources in the Age of Misinformation

     Unsure what sources to rely on for credible information?  Join the Tyler Libraries to learn how to identify and avoid sources of both misinformation and disinformation and different evaluation methods to use when performing research. The workshop will be held at the Chester campus library at 1pm.

    Students, faculty, and staff are invited to buy their lunch from the Art Club in Eliades Hall (2nd floor in front of the Art Lab, E-215). Pizza by the slice ($2) & canned sodas/bottled water (50 cents). This is brought to you by the John Tyler Art Club and will help raise funds for various events members attend including the New York trip. 

  • “Spooktacular” Fall Festival

    Enjoy the JTCC fall festival that features hauted houses, candy trail, haunted carols, etc. The event will take place on the Midlothian campus inside and outside of the T-building. 

  • THRIVE Club Meeting

    THRIVE is Tyler's nondenominational student-led ministry. THRIVE holds worship nights, bible study, open mic nights, community services events and more.

    Starting August 30, THRIVE will meet every Friday in the Lynn Theatre on the Midlothian Campus.
