Tuition Payment Deadlines

John Tyler Community College does not generate bills for tuition and fees directly. It is your responsibility to pay your tuition and fees by the deadlines in the tables listed below. If you do not pay all tuition and fees by the appropriate date, you may lose some or all of your classes (referred to as having your classes “dropped”).

Fall 2020 payments are accepted beginning July 1.

Summer 2020

For the Summer 2020 semester, Tyler has developed its own payment plan to better assist students during these uncertain times.  The college is not using a third-party payment plan vendor. This is a Tyler-supported payment plan. . If you have questions about the payment plan, please email financial services at businessoffice@jtcc.edu for more information.  

Tuition Payment Deadlines - April 1 - June 30, 2020

  • First Payment
    • If you register for classes April 1 - May 26, 2020
      You must pay at least 60% of your myTyler account balance prior to or on May 26, 2020, for the summer 2020 term, or you will be dropped from your classes for non-payment.
    • If you register for classes May 27 - June 29, 2020
      The day you register, you must pay at least 60% of your account balance for Summer 2020 classes, or you will be dropped for non-payment.
  • Final payments due by June 30, 2020
    You must pay the remaining balance on your myTyler account by June 30, 2020. If there is any remaining myTyler account balance on July 1, 2020, you will be dropped from your classes during the overnight process for non-payment.

Tuition Payment Deadlines –  July 1, 2020 – end of the summer term

If you register for classes July 1, 2020 through end of summer 2020 term, you must pay your full myTyler account balance at time of registration, or you will be dropped from your classes during the overnight process for non-payment.

Drops and Refunds

During the summer 2020 term, you may be participating in classes before final payment is made. If you remain in courses  after the drop with refund deadline or are dropped by your instructor for never attending, you will owe the remaining balance on our myTyler account and will not receive a refund. 

Students failing to attend classes or be successful in their courses are still obligated to make final course payments by the June 30, 2020 deadline.

The college does not mail tuition bills or statements. Log into myTyler > SIS > Student Center to review tuition and fee balances and make online payments.
