Spring 2021 - Tyler

Your Guide to Registration at Tyler

Registration for summer and fall classes begins April 5. We’re here to help you get started.

New to Tyler? Visit our admissions page for a step-by-step guide to becoming a Tyler student.

Plan Your Schedule

Tyler’s college catalog outlines all the courses required in your major and includes a printable degree planner you can use to track your progress toward graduation. If you are using financial aid, this information is critical. Financial aid will only pay for courses that are part of your major.

For assistance with your first semester schedule, speak with Advising Center staff. In future semesters, the advisor assigned to you based on your major can help you plan your schedule and guide you through college and career decisions.

View Your Options

You can search for your class options in our online schedule, and once you’re ready to make your choices, log in to myTyler. We recommend writing down your preferred class numbers from the schedule so you can search for them directly in the Student Information System.

Register Online for Classes

In order to be able to register online, you’ll need to make sure your myTyler account is set up; we’ve created a video tutorial if you need assistance. For help with resetting your password, contact our Help Desk.

If it’s your first time registering, we have created a video tutorial to walk you through the process of using our Student Information System in myTyler.

Pay for Your Classes

Once you have registered, you will need to pay for your classes. You do not have to pay immediately when registering, but it is important to note that if you do not pay for your classes by the listed payment deadlines, you may be dropped from your classes. Tyler does not send tuition bills or reminders of payments due.

Tyler offers several payment options:

If you are applying for financial aid, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using Tyler’s FAFSA code: 004004. Applying early can help you qualify for the maximum amount of aid.

For 24/7 assistance with financial aid related questions or your application, visit or call 855-874-6684.

Cashier’s Office
To pay in-person by cash, check or credit card, visit the Cashier’s Office on either campus.
