Upcoming Events

Tuesday, Sept 15th: "Tour Tuesdays" - Take a virtual tour of some of the most famous museums across the world. Each week we will provide a link to tour the museum of choice. As we continue to celebrate and recognize Hispanic Heritage month our virtual tour features a tour of Museu de Arte Sao Paulo. Click HERE to take the tour.  

Wednesday, Sept 16th: "Virtual Bingo Wednesdays" – Join us each Wednesday at 3pm for virtual bingo. There will be a different theme each Wednesday. Play to win cool Tyler SWAG (t-shirts, water bottles, bands, etc.). Please pre-register by clicking HERE

Thursday, Sept 17th: "Tasty Thursdays" – Every other Thursday you will be able to travel to some of your favorite destinations from your own kitchen. Follow along with Chef Shelly as she teaches you how to prepare the meal of the week. Cooking sessions will be between 25 – 45 minutes from start to finish. The week before each cooking session we will send out the theme and ingredients needed to be prepared for each cooking session. Click HERE to register. 

Monday, Sept 21st: "Yoga Mondays" – Each Monday we will have a 30-minute yoga class led by bareSOUL Yoga. Students, faculty, and staff can choose to join live or view later on when the link becomes available. Yoga will be hosted 12:30pm – 1:00pm. Click HERE to register for this session of "Yoga Mondays".


Available Now: "Meditation Tuesdays - Sept 15th session" - Join the virtual meditation session led by Tyler's very own faculty member Mrs. Kulkarni. The 20 minute meditation session will start at 1:15pm and will be recorded for you to view at a later time if needed.">View September 15th session of Meditation Tuesdays.

Available Now: "Tasty Thursdays" – Follow along with Chef Shelly Smith as she teaches you how to prepare “Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry” the meal of the week. Total meal time to prep and cook is 30 minutes. Remote hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Remote services include Student ID's and responding to inquiries via email at

Student ID's

Student IDs can be picked up from the Office of Student Activities during normal business hours. There is no charge for a student ID. Student IDs may also be required to attend certain student activities on campus. Learn how to receive your student ID remotely. You will need to be logged into your student email to complete the form.

Reasons to obtain your ID:

  • Print at the campus library
  • Obtain your parking pass
  • Access to campus gym
  • Store discounts
  • Access to VSU recreational facilities (swimming pool)
  • The ability to be identified as a Tyler student quickly
  • Check out books and meeting rooms at the library
  • Sign in at the ARC

Gym Hours 

The gyms will be closed to all students, staff, and facuty until further notice.
